‘OBAMA AS T.R.? ARE YOU SERIOUS?’

 President Obama was in Kansas State giving an economy speech with the believe of the ” New Theodore Roosevelt ‘ with hopes people will take that seriously. Really? Lets see, T.R. was born in New York State, police commissioner, a war hero  during the Spanish-American  War, vice president, and President.  In a nut shell a true American who loved his country and God.

   Later a writer, traveler, hunter, and even put the country first not party going Bull Moose in 1912. He would have been elected president in 1920 if he hadn’t passed away in 1919.

  President Obama? I will stop here because I don’t want to be a person who talks bad of people. I will have to refrain myself from laughing as I add his profile. I can’t type and do that. Please! No match up here.

‘STOP THE TAR SAND PIPELINE!’

Dear readers

  It’s appalling that the State Department has been rushing headlong toward approval of the Key Stone XL tar pipeline, which could devastate  the environments in both Canada and the United States. Tar sand have been called the ‘most destructive project on earth’ because it is laying waste to the great Borealk Forest , obliterating migratory bird nesting grounds and spewing excessive global warming pollution . In addition transporting the world’s most dirtiest oil to refineries in Texas  and threaten  birds and other wildlife there. 

    This  area for example , will be in the path of this and threaten American heartland ‘s most entire ecosystems and drinking water supplies while rasing gas prices in the Midwest. This is not what God wants of us when he states we have command of the fish in the sea and beasts on the earth. ( See Bible first chapter.)  This seems t o be a continued pattern going back  to the days of President  Theodore Roosevelt vs. those who wish to “improve .”

  Call on President Obama and the State Department  and  tell them this is not in our nation’s best interest and serves no one in the long run.  There has to be other cleaner ideas to use to get oil we need? Harming  wildlife areas are not one of them.  See the web link below and stop the Key Stone XL pipeline!

‘SO YOU WANT TO BRING THEM HOME? ‘ WE SAY FINISH THE GOOD FIGHT AND NOT RUN AWAY!”

    As we heard, Pres. Obama will begin being home our troop by September in large numbers from the Middle East leaving the battle to someone else. The question here is, Who is going to fight terrorist? The UN.? PLEASE.  We pay for 75% of the UN and do the heavy lifting  and no help.  Nice if they would get other countries involved not a chance. If you will not take care of yourself, who will?

 The big question? Do we wish to fight terrorism there or  in New York, Chicago, or LA.? I for one don’t want this in the United States! In the Catholic American opinion, we should finish the good fight once and for all. It will not go away by running away from the problem. Plus they started it on September 11 by the way!   Take Washington out of the picture and let the generals do their work and win this one as we did in World War II  then bring our troops home!

‘NEW ABORTION CURBS SIGNED IN IDAHO AND KANSAS.’

CHICAGO TRIBUNE REPORT-

‘Idaho’s governor said Thursday he signed into law a measure banning abortions after 30 weeks of pregnancy, making Idaho the third state  to enact such a late-term abortion prohibition.  Governor Butch Otto, a Republican said he signed the bill Wednesday.

  The new law is modeled after a 2010 Nebraska law which has not been challenged in court. Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback signed a bill Wednesday banning abortions after 21 weeks in his  state.’

   As a Catholic and a Conservative Democrat, Good! Hope to see  this in Illinois. Although we have a parent notice before an abortion, it’s being challenged in court.  Judges using good sense to vote no on this one!

9-11 MEMORIAL NEEDS YOUR HELP.

 In the TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 9-11 ATTACKS,  this September, a new national memorial will open on the site of the twin towers. This eight acre park will include an interactive museum honoring the 2,982 people who lost their lives that day and the 1993 World Trade bombings.  They need our help. Looking for pictures, notes, and personal data on those who lost their lives. In other words, put a human face to the story. The idea is to show how they made our lives special .’ said Amy Weinstien Associate Curator of the 911 Memorial.  This to help the healing process as time goes on.  In this writer’s opinion in lite of  what happened this pass week getting rid of a terrorist, a   good idea.

‘ONCE AND FOR ALL.’

But the people couldn’t understand how he fit in their plan, so they crucified him to a tree.  Three days had gone by and there his body lay. The tomb was sealed, a guard was standing by. The ground beneath began to shake, the stone was rolled back in the quake. Jesus rose again! He was alive! 

 Once and for all Christ has redeemed us. Once and for all he died to set us free. By the sacrifice he made, our debt of sin was paid, to bring us back to God once and for all.  Sin, where, is your victory? Death where is your sting? The grave has been defeated, could not hold the king of kings!’

‘PLANTS HERE SAFE, BUT YOU CAN’T MAKE DISASTERPROOF.’

 Worrycontinue as the earthquake in Japan and nuclear plant disaster continues, people in the United State worry about a similar problem here at home .Four of the Illinois reactors have the same design as in Fukushima . Those reactors are produced by General Electric  Company .  This from the Energy Institute, the U.S. Trade group for the industry.  Could this happen here in America?

  For U. S-based experts in nuclear energy, nuclear energy, the issues is can our plant hold up to an earthquake and a similar disaster. Most U.S. Reactors can hold up only a four-hour blackouts David Lochbaum a nuclear engineer. They also have check s to prevent a spill and have shutoffs to prevent  a problem.

 Chairman John Rowe said its plants are safe. ” Particularly given the different seismic patterns in our regions and the absence of tsunami type events. The company said its plant have numerous and redundant safety systems but would work with regulators to use lessons learned from Japan. He said. There are about  years of track record of nuclear plants. People can look back and make their own judgements about.

This writer came across a top inspector with Exelon not too long ago and I asked him about this? He said that they have months expectations and drills to handle the problem in a professional manner.  The plants have better construction also to hold up to the ever so earthquakes we get in the Mid-West . That is good to hear.  Don’t need that here or anywere in the United States.
