‘ WORLD MISSION SUNDAY 2011.’

10-15-11

Rome

Dear brothers and sisters of Christ-

Next Sunday, October 23, Pope Benedict XVI calls every Catholic in the world to celebrate our vocations to be missionary. It’s World Mission Sunday! As Catholics around the world, here at home, and in missions gather at the Eucharist around the table of the Lord, we are to pray for the Catholic’s worldwide missionary work. We pray for those awaiting the ‘Good News’ of our Lord great love for us and for missionaries who offer the poor and suffering the light of Christ.

We are offering financial help though the society for the Propagation of the faith  for more than 1,150 dioceses in Asia, Africa, America, and the Pacific Islands. Your generosity will help make a faith filled difference  around the world toward those in need. See the World Mission Sunday webpage for more information.     @ www.iamamissionary.org

PRAY EACH DAY

‘Compassionate God, your generous presence is always attuned to hurting ones Your listening ear is bent toward the cries of the wounded. Your heart of love fills with tears for the suffering.  Turn my inward eye to see that I am not alone. I am part of all life. Each one’s joy and sorrow, and mine is theirs.  May I draw strength from this inner communion. May it daily recommit me to be a  compassionate presence for all who struggle with life pains.

THANK YOU!

‘ WHAT IS EVANGELIZATION? WHAT POPE BENEDICT HAVE TO SAY?’

EVANGELIZATION IS ROOTED IN A PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS CHRIST.

‘ Christianity is not a new philosophy or new morality. We are Christians only if we encounter Christ…..Only in this personal relationship with Christ, only in this encounter with the Risen One  do we really become Christians……. There fore, let us pray to the Lord to enlighten us  so that, in our world, HE will grant us the encounter with his presence, and  thus give us a lively faith, an open heart, and great charity for all, capable of renewing the world. ‘

EVANGELIZATION IS A MISSION OF THE CHURCH.

” We cannot keep to ourselves the word of eternal life given to us in our encounter with Jesus Christ: they are ment for everyone, for every man and woman…. It is our responsibility to pass on what, by God grace, we ourselves have received’ —  Pope Benedict XVI Vacican City on September 3, 2008    Well put in the Catholic American’s opinion.

‘ONCE AND FOR ALL.’

By: Courtney/Parker

’Born the son of God, He was the son of man, lived as a servant’s life so selflessly. But the people couldn’t understand how he fit in their plan, so they crucified him to a tree.  Three days had gone by and there his body lay. The tomb was sealed, a guard was standing by. The ground beneath began to shake, the stone was rolled back in the quake. Jesus rose again! He was alive!

Once and for all Christ has redeemed us. Once and for all he died to set us free. By the sacrifice he made, our debt of sin was paid, to bring us back to God once and for all.  Sin, where, is your victory? Death where is your sting? The grave has been defeated, could not hold the king of kings!’

 HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!

‘LENT WITH THE HELP OF GOD.’

‘LENT. Our journey to become more like Christ. ‘

On our own we cannot  live the life God intends for us. like Abraham, our lives can produce great fruit only if we follow God in faith. This week, pray for the grace to follow God with strong faith. Pray also to see the poor in our midst so that we may assist them, for the fruit of faith is love. Catholic Relief Services Operation Rice Bowl supports programs that help the most vulnerable in communities in Indonesia and around the world.

PRAY EACH DAY.

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend , with your help, to do penance, to sin no more and avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. His name, my God, have mercy. AMEM.

‘JESUS LOVE US AND IS FORGIVING IN OUR SINS. ‘

PSALM 23—

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul .

He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name sake.  Yea, though I walk though the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me in all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. ‘

……..Remember, in this time of troubles we face, don’t give up! God love all of us and wants us to do good. He never will leave us and is forgiving. Go to HIM for help and if humble, HE will do so to overcome problems we may face.

Revelations 6:15-4

‘ HOLY , HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. WHO WAS,  AND IS, AND IS TO COME.’
