NATO IN CHICAGO? A GOOD IDEA?

Would the NATO Summit in Chicago be a good idea? Make money and good PR? I don’t think so. In my opinion, this will be a mess and for the life of me, I can’t figure out why have it here or make this public? Why?

Why can’t they ( Washington ) have a private meeting and get it over with? Why make it public and get the bad elements that go with it? I do feel that we have rights to protest and question our government under the constitution. But when it turns into a riot, then that now cross that fine line that the police and national guard have to be called in. And they should be.

Why in any mind-set would you want to hold the city hostage to those who want to cause trouble and close businesses and expressways down costing money to many working people? We don’ t want radicals here and their troubles. Only have to look back at Oakland and the 1968 Democratic convention to not have this again.

I don’t know,  but Mayor Rahm dropped the ball on this one and I feel this is a plan to move attention from President Obama’s failure as President at the cost of Chicago. I hope people see this and no problems come to Chicago!

‘Help Protect The EPA Standards’

Help the league Of Conservation  Voters protect the environmental Protection Agency from the continued push of big polluters and anti environment members of congress from ending  the EPA standards that we depend on everyday! Water, air, and land protection. This is something this writer feels strong about and hope its doses stay.

Started by Pres. Nixon in the early 1970′s this has started the push for better air and water from  corporations that took advantage of the law . Forgetting that we are God’s gate Keepers and have the duty to maintain what he gave to us.  Because of this, pollution was cut back that time  and I did see a change for the better compared to before with discolored air and wreaked waterways of oil and such!

This is nothing new of course. The natural parks idea started by Pres.Thomas Jefferson Later  Pres. U.S. Grant enacted the first park in 1871.  It was Pres. Theodore Roosevelt who enacted protection during the 1900′s against railroad barons and millionaires out to make a buck on the back of nature. He made many angry people but did what was  right thing to do.  Why we have to continue with EPA for example. Ask yourself? Do we want a place to see animals for example in nature livings or only a zoo?    See more at www.lcv.org  today.

‘PERSONHOOD BILL FAILS IN OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE.’

OKLAHOMA CITY-

A proposed  “personhood law in Oklahoma that would grant an embryos full rights as people from the moment of concepton failed in the state legislature on Thursday without coming to a vote in the Republican controlled house.

  The personhood Act passed in February in the senate and Republican Governor Mary Fallin have been expected to sign it. But it failed in committee where it sat.

   In this writer’s opinion, it’s hard to believe that this is an issue. In a federal level, it should be the states that should have the rights to choose abortion or not over all.  

  Given a reason why everyone has to do their homework and vote for the Republican candidate for president and get the vote to the states and not the federal government as  in Roe V Wade and other issues.  President Ronald Reagan was right when he said, ” Government isn’t the answer, but the problem.’

‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY 100 YEARS TO THE GIRL SCOUTS!’

 Happy birthday to the Girl Scouts! 100 years and counting. They had Mrs. Clinton, Reese Witherspoon, and Laura Bush just to name a few. They helped the war effort in 1917 by selling those tasty cookies, Helped during the Great Depression, and built character of girls across America of good morals, self depended, and go getter.  God-fearing.

  Not to mention, respect of nature  Why God put these places here for us to enjoy and not destroy. Nice work to them.  Over 3.2 million. (see story at www.parade.com

Re: Iran The Threat Today.

 So much going on in the Middle-East today. Iran going ahead with an atomic power plant to get “energy’ and put pressure on  England and France by cutting off oil supply to them. Now they are threat Israel and the United States. Israel is ready to take action to defend itself.

 In this writer’s opinion, NO Way! We have to continue the pressure of ‘In the pocketbook’ cutting off any money to Iran and build the KeyStone Pipeline project from Canada to Texas now. Why are people in environmental worried? I too am an environmentalist and know it can be done in safe guide lines.  No damage to wildlife and landscapes.

 Israel has every right to worry. They are a direct threat from a man who like  to eliminate the Jewish  and the U.S. from the Earth. Iran has to be addressed now before they have a bomb and learn how to use it!  Not wait and hope it goes away. That will not happen.

‘ROCKFORD ABORTION CLINIC IS CLOSED FOR GOOD!

 An Illinois abortion clinic was finally closed by the State Of Illinois for violations for health and safety  up to $9,750. Wednesday. The N.I.W.C  Clinic in Rockford,  Illinois was closed by order of Dr. Ken Soyemi the health department acting director. Protesters were out in force picketing over under trained staff and unclean conditions at the clinic. It was planned to reopen but was closed for good.

 In the Catholic American’s opinion, good! This stands the reason why we have to continue the good fight in the War Against Abortion in America! To close abortion clinics, elect candidates (Democrats or Republican ) who respect life from start to finish, and finally, over turn Roe V. Wade  as soon as possible. 

  Not to mention cut funding to Plan Parenthood and Obama Care that funds abortions. Along with ending  assisted suicides of the old!  That should be one of the top 10 ‘To Do’ on the list of congress in the 2012-2013 year. Nothing less finally!

RE: The Costa Concorida

  From the Catholic Americans a Heartfelt sorry for the lost  for the sinking of the Costa Concorida off the Tuscan coast last week. So far there are still many missing and answers that have to be filled. Such as, why did the captain sail so close to that coastline? Who was that lady on the ship with the captain? Was he drunk? Why did he ‘ bail out ” when the ship hit? What now for the shipping lines? Many questions. Our heart go out to the families and victims. God speed.

‘SELLING OUT THE MILITARY NOT A GOOD IDEA.’

  Listening to “FACE THE NATION ON C.B.S.’ made me shake. The talk tonight was a smaller military and returning using smaller amount of personnel and equipment to fight two wars if needed in the world.  We feel this is a short-sighted idea and may cause harm than any good if Pres. Obama has his way.

 The reason for this is that in a world with terrorism waiting to occur is a dangerous. We need a strong military and navy to act fast to a growing threat in Iran of having a bomb and blocking off a canal that we need for oil supply. We agree with Senator Mc’Cain that President Obama is acting short-sighted and overlooking a problem needing action.

  We cannot let Iran get a bomb and have to hit them in the pocketbook to make them come under control. If that fails, then military action maybe an idea. We have to have all options open. We can not leave the military short.  That will in the end with cause a lost of a war and military people  on our side! Not to mention United States interests!

‘SEASON ‘S NO REASON.’

 Here are some ideas I found in the Chicago Tribune Employment section 12-18-2011. I know it is hard for workers today to find employment and I say don’t give dear reader. Keep up the good fight and have hope. You will have success.  I hope this helps I been there and done that. From temp work to jobs I would never bother with. As a dear friend of ours said once, ‘You do what you have to do.’

 Take contract work, retail and temp work. Many companies will hire full-time if they get a try out first. That is, if you ” fit the job.’ Many places will hire part-time and then a full-time slot later. Maybe a first climb up that ladder.

 Network. This worked for me and still doses. Never hurts to have friends looking for you also if you let them know you’re looking for a job. I have a sister who is looking and I have my friends and my wife’s friends looking and we even pick up apps when at Sears or Meier’s! Never wrong or shameful to get a little help from friends as the song goes.

 Volunteer. This is a good to keep going and feel good about helping others. Plus looking networking once again with others who are helping out and building friends as well! 

 Interview. Go out looking for other jobs if one is open. Keeps up your skills and how to answer those hard questions thrown at you in a seconds flash. You get better as you go along. Finally, be yourself. No one is perfect( God is) They are not looking for a Superman or Superhuman woman. Just do the new job. That is all they ask.

 In closing, with networking, interview, and walking the pavement, I hope this helps and not give up dear reader and have hope. I will pray for you as well and that we have a good 2012!!
